In collaboration with the David F. and Constance B. Girard-diCarlo Center for Ethics, Integrity and Compliance and the Jeffrey S. Moored Center for the Study of Sports Law, the Villanova Law Institute to Address Commercial Sexual Exploitation invites you to join us for a conference entitled Sports, Violence and Equality: Current Issues in Title IX Compliance. The conference will take place this Friday, January 29, from 9 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
The conference will explore how the federal legislation impacts sports, gender-based violence, and broader issues of equality on college campuses throughout the nation.
The conference’s Featured Speaker is Val Ackerman, the Commissioner of The Big East Conference. Other expert panelists include Villanova Law professor Ann Juliano, R. Barrett Marshall, a member of the CSE Institute Board of Advisors and attorney for Mazzoni Center, Terry L. Fromson from the Women’s Law Project, Sarah McCarthy, a Villanova Law alumna and attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, Michelle Anderson, a former Villanova Law professor and Dean at CUNY School of Law, and more.
