On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, the Philadelphia chapter of The Anti Defamation League awarded their inaugural Beau Biden SHIELD awards, to outstanding members of local law enforcement serving communities in Delaware, southern New Jersey, and eastern Pennsylvania. The award is named in honor of the late Delaware Attorney General Joseph “Beau” Biden, III, a devoted human rights advocate. The recipients were selected for their remarkable efforts to combat the most heinous crimes of our time including terrorism, hate crimes, civil rights violations, and human trafficking.
A committee of top law enforcement officials from federal, state, and local agencies chose twenty-six individuals deserving of this honor. Among the honorees is Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Michelle Morgan, Esq., CWSL ’97 and a member of the CSE Institute’s Board of Advisors.
AUSA Morgan and her associates, Assistant United States Attorney Melanie Wilmoth, Esq. (E.D.PA), and FBI Special Agents Jennifer Batish and Michael Goodhue, were honored for their successful investigation and prosecution of child sex traffickers Christian Womack and Rashidah Brice.
The CSE Institute congratulates AUSA Morgan on receiving this well-deserved award!
