Dawn’s Place & CSE Institute to Co-Host Upcoming Training Opportunity

Dawn’s Place, in connection with the CSE Institute, is presenting the two-day workshop “Human Trafficking and Sex Trafficking: An Overview for Social Workers and Lawyers” on Tuesday, November 17 and Wednesday, November 18 at the Philadelphia University Tuttlemen Center Auditorium.

The workshop will feature speaker Dr. Rebecca C. Johnson, PhD. Dr. Johnson has been a licensed psychologist for over 25 years. Currently, she serves as the Clinical Director of counseling and services at Engedi Refuge, an aftercare home for women victims of sex trafficking located in Washington state.  Over the two-day training, covered topics will include legal issues surrounding representation of survivors, the force, fraud & coercion element, trauma bonding, vicarious trauma, and other psychological implications of prostitution and sex trafficking, and more. The CSE Institute Director, Shea Rhodes, Esq., and Co-Founder of Dawn’s Place, Mary DeFusco, Esq. will also be present to contribute and answer questions.

Please note CEU credits are available for social workers and counselors, and the workshop has been approved for eleven CLE credits for lawyers.
